Dakota Wars

This blog is about Dakota wars, enemies, and dances. The first dance is held before the war, to get their minds on the war, and help them win the battle; another is held to celebrate their victory. The next posts are about wars, the War for the Black Hills, and the Dakota war of 1862. They both involve the US army, and both greatly impact the Dakota people. In the Dakota war of 1862, one of the largest hangings in history occurred, and in the other war, the Dakota began living on reservations.
